Everybody loves a good strawberry lemonade, but you know what’s even better? Strawberry lemonade with some gin in it!
Now, it’s been hot here in Tri Cities lately. I mean REALLY hot. And if you’re anything like me, there’s no better way to beat the heat than a refreshing cocktail on the back porch. I don’t know about you but for me, a little shade, a slight breeze, and a cold drink on a hot day is my idea of heaven.
So bust out your favorite plain white tee, kick back, and say hey there to The Delilah.
Ingredients
- 2oz Gin
- 1oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 3-4 Strawberries
- .5oz Simple Syrup
- Mint Leaf
- Ice
Make
Step 1: Add the strawbs
Add your strawberries to the bottom of your shaker and muddle into a chunky paste
Step 2: Add the Rest of your ingredients and shake!
- Add .5oz of simple syrup, 1oz of fresh lemon juice, and 2oz of gin to the shaker
- Fill the shaker 2/3 with ice and close tight. Shake vigorously 10-15 times until the outside of the shaker begins to get frosty
Step 3: Double strain
Open the shaker and double strain into your cocktail glass of choice.
Step 4: Garnish
Slap the mint leaf between your hands to express the oils and drop into the drink.
Step 4: Enjoy!
BONUS Non-Alcoholic Option: If you’re wanting to avoid the booze, try this drink substituting filtered water for the gin to make the best single serving strawberry lemonade you’ve ever tried!
